Welcome to Crutchfield Psychology
Gloria Crutchfield, PhD is a licensed psychologist who has worked in the field of mental health for over 25 years. She specializes in working one-on-one with adult clients in the treatment of:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Mood disorders
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions and adjustments
- Relationship and self-esteem struggles
- Stress management
Dr. Crutchfield’s clinical training and experience has cultivated in her a firm belief in the resilience of the human spirit and in each individual’s potential to consciously evolve and heal, and to create a more whole Self and a more fulfilling life.
I develop safe and respectful therapeutic relationships with my clients. I partner with them to help them gain insight into dysfunctional patterns and to replace them with healthier coping and communication skills.
Research has shown that safe connection with another allows the nervous system to calm and to be more available to rewire neural pathways so as to create a healthier and more peaceful state of being. Dr. Crutchfield understands that in a state of safety and trust, individuals can tune into their resilience and expand their internal resources to engage in intentional healing.

COVID-19 Update
Due to the national and local COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of public health, therapy sessions are currently being held via telehealth through a secure video conferencing platform. Dr. Crutchfield believes that experiencing physical and emotional safety is of vital importance in a therapeutic relationship; seeing one another’s faces and expressions in sessions rather than behind a mask contributes to that sense of safety and connection. In-person office sessions will resume as soon as trends indicate that it is safe to return to normal operations.
